Overview
The aim of the game is to select a team of golfers with the best combined score across a tournament.
To play you will need to select a golfer in each bracket (e.g. ‘Hot Favourites’). The combined gross score of your golfers (with penalties for players who miss the cut), will determine your team score. The player with the lowest team score will win the game.
Scoring
Golfers are awarded the same score as their gross tournament score.
For example if your golfer is -8 in the tournament, their score in the game will be -8..
Golfers receive a penalty for missing the cut:
- They will receive a +3 penalty after each of the 3rd and 4th rounds.
- Additionally, they will have the average score of the field for each of the 3rd and 4th rounds applied to their score at the end of each round.
- For example if your golfer’s score after two rounds was +2, and the rest of the field averaged -2 for the 3rd round, your golfer would receive a +3 penalty and the -2 average; 2 + 3 - 2 = 1.
- If the rest of the field averaged +1 in the 4th round, then your golfer would receive a +3 penalty and the +1 Average to his 3rd round score; 1 + 3 + 1 = 5.
General Game Rules
If a player withdraws from the tournament then they will be replaced by the next highest ranking player in the same category
You will need to select your team before the first tee time of the tournament. You will be able to make changes to your selections up until this deadline. After the first tee time users won’t be able to change their team.
The winner will be the player with the lowest score at the end of the game.
If players have the same total score, then they draw level and the tiebreaker will be used to differentiate the places.
